How to Prevent Banding in Inkjet Printers

 1. The print head is the most important and precise part of the internal structure of an inkjet printer. Therefore, great care must be taken in its maintenance. Avoid mechanical collisions and vibrations during daily use of the inkjet printer.

2. The nozzles of the print head are extremely small, almost the same size as dust particles in the air. Dust floating in the air can easily clog the nozzles, so it is necessary to keep the environment clean daily.

3. Inkjet printers should not work in high-temperature environments, as this can easily corrode the mechanical components and print head of the printer. At the same time, the temperature difference in the working environment should not be too large. If the ambient temperature changes too quickly, it will cause thermal expansion of the many engineering plastic components in the inkjet printer, leading to wear of mechanical parts. In addition, it may cause changes in the size of the slender nozzle holes, affecting print quality.

4. The quality of images printed by an inkjet printer largely depends on the quality of the ink, which also affects the service life of the nozzles. Original ink is the most suitable choice. There are too many types of ink on the market, and using original ink can well protect the inkjet printer’s print head and ensure the effect of printed images.

5. When the inkjet printer is idle for a long time, ensure that the print head and ink stack core are fully sealed to prevent the ink in the print head from drying and causing clogging. Also, clean the print head regularly.

6. If printing is relatively normal but there are slight clogging issues, such as missing strokes or colors, or blurred images at high resolution, use the nozzle cleaning program built into the inkjet printer for cleaning.

7. If the printing effect is still poor or the nozzles remain clogged after frequent ink pumping or nozzle cleaning, resulting in unsmooth printing work, please ask professional personnel for maintenance. Do not disassemble the print head by yourself to avoid damaging the precision components. It is essential to pay attention to the daily maintenance of the inkjet printer; otherwise, a series of problems such as broken lines, missing dots, blurriness, and color distortion may easily occur.
